Terms of use
Last updated: January 2026
By using Whole House Water Treatment you agree to these terms. They describe what the site is for, what it is not, and the limits of the information we publish.
Editorial scope
This site is provided for general informational purposes only. Nothing here is medical, legal, financial, or professional safety advice. Whole-house water treatment involves plumbing, electrical work, and in some cases controlled substances (potassium permanganate for greensand systems, salt for softeners). Always consult a licensed plumber or your local building department before installation.
Data-accuracy notice
Water-quality figures are sourced from the EWG Tap Water Database, USGS, and the EPA. Every U.S. utility we cover meets the federal EPA legal limits for drinking water. Where we flag a contaminant as "above the health guideline," we are referring to the stricter, non-enforceable benchmark published by the Environmental Working Group, not a legal violation. Always cross-check with your utility's annual Consumer Confidence Report (CCR), which is delivered each July.
Product information
Product specifications, certifications, warranties, and pricing change frequently. We review our pages on a rolling basis, but the manufacturer's site is the source of truth at the moment you buy. We do not display prices on this site for exactly that reason: a screenshot of a price from last month is worse than no price at all. Use the "Check Latest Price" links to confirm current pricing directly with the brand.
Limitation of liability
Whole House Water Treatment, its authors, and its partners are not liable for damages arising from your use of the information on this site. You install, operate, and maintain any water-treatment system at your own risk and in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and local code.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms when our editorial policies or partner relationships change. The revision date at the top of this page reflects the latest update. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
